Plush Non-Slip Bath Mat

Deep pile is the difference between a bath mat you tolerate and one you look forward to standing on. This one is built for that first step out of the shower: a dense, long-fibre plush that gives underfoot, holds warmth, and takes a surprising amount of water before it feels damp. Six colours — beige, grey, black, dark blue, pink and red — cover most bathroom schemes.

The pile sits on a woven base bonded to a rubberised non-slip layer, so the mat grips tile, vinyl and sealed wood rather than sliding when you step onto the edge. Fibres are shed-resistant and colourfast, and the whole mat goes into the machine at 30°C. Three sizes let you match the mat to the room: 40 x 60 cm beside a basin, 50 x 80 cm at a shower tray, 60 x 90 cm along the length of a bath.

Bathroom floors are slippery when wet. Lay the mat on a clean, dry, level surface, check the backing still grips after each wash, replace it when the backing hardens, and take extra care with children, older users and anyone unsteady. Two mats in the same colour, one at the basin and one at the bath, is the simplest way to make a small bathroom feel finished rather than merely equipped.
