A weak shower is usually a pressure problem rather than a plumbing one, and the cheapest place to fix it is at the head. This one uses laser-cut micro holes instead of the usual moulded nozzles, which narrows each jet and pushes the water through harder. The practical effect is a noticeably firmer spray from the same supply, while using less water overall because the flow area is smaller.

Inside the body sits a multi-stage filter cartridge that catches sediment and softens the feel of hard water before it reaches you. In a limescale area this is the difference between a head that sprays evenly and one that starts firing sideways after six months. There is a button on the handle that stops and starts the flow at the head, which is useful mid-shower and saves running water while you lather.

The body is metal rather than chromed plastic, so it has some weight and will not crack if dropped in the tray. It fits a standard hand-held shower hose. Check the connection against your existing hose before fitting, and if you are unsure about your system - particularly with an electric or low-pressure gravity shower - ask a plumber first.
