Rayo Alabaster Outdoor Wall Light

The Rayo sets a glowing column of imitation alabaster inside a squared black steel frame. When lit, the veined resin shade takes on the depth of real stone, throwing a warm, even light across the wall around it. It is a fitting that earns its place beside an entrance or a gateway, where the play of the frame against the luminous panel can be seen up close.

The frame is stainless steel and the shade is imitation-alabaster resin over an integrated LED, tuned to a warm 3000K. It measures 12 cm deep, 16 cm wide and 50 cm high, so it carries enough height to read as a column rather than a box on the wall. It is rated IP65, which means rain and spray are no concern in an exposed position, and the black frame holds its outline against brick, render and painted timber.

It is at home on exterior walls, porches, garden walls and covered walkways, and a pair either side of a door frames an entrance neatly. The Rayo is hardwired and works with a common wall switch, which is not included. Installation by a qualified electrician is recommended. Rinse the frame occasionally to keep salt or grit off the steel, and wipe the shade dry.
