Rectangular Metal Plant Stand

This is the plainest possible answer to the question of where a plant should sit, and that is the point. A rectangular metal frame, powder coated matt black, with a flat top that takes one or two pots and nothing else going on. Against a white wall it disappears into a set of thin dark lines, which leaves the plant itself as the only thing anybody looks at.

The powder coating is the part that matters in practice. It seals the steel against the moisture that inevitably ends up on a plant stand, so the frame does not bloom with rust the first time a pot overflows. The welds are clean and the four feet sit flat, which means no rocking on a hard floor and no marks left behind on boards.

Two widths are offered. The forty by nineteen and a half centimetre version suits a single medium pot beside a chair or in front of a window; the sixty by twenty-one and a half takes two smaller pots side by side or one large one with room to spare. Either can be used as a low shelf for books or a lamp if the plants move on. Wipe with a dry cloth and deal with spills promptly.
