Retro Cone Metal Wall Light 22cm

A tapered iron cone on a short swept arm, painted rather than plated, in the mid-century workshop idiom that never quite goes away. The shade is deep enough to hide the lamp completely from most angles, so what you get is a focused pool of light on a worktop, a reading chair or a stretch of hallway rather than a glare across the room.

Six colours are offered: grey, white, blue, yellow, green and red. The flat, saturated finishes are the point - this is a fitting meant to be seen, and a red or yellow cone against a plain wall does more for a kitchen or a hallway than another black sconce would. The body measures 22cm long, 13cm wide and 12cm deep, which keeps it compact enough to use in pairs along a corridor.

Supplied for a 90-240V mains supply and hardwired, so it must be installed by a qualified electrician with the circuit isolated at the consumer unit before work begins. Rated for dry indoor locations only; do not install in bathroom zones 0, 1 or 2. Painted metal will mark if you attack it with a scouring cream, so dust it with a dry soft cloth while the power is off and leave it at that.
