Ribbed Acrylic Disc Wall Light 13cm

A disc of frosted acrylic on a slim metal body, this is the sort of light that does its work without announcing itself. The shade measures 13.5cm across and sits just 8.2cm off the wall, which keeps it clear of shoulders in a corridor and well out of the way above a bedside table.

Five finishes are offered, and the real choice is between two textures: a smooth disc in white or orange, or a ribbed face in white, orange or grey that breaks the light into fine vertical lines as it spreads. The integrated LED is warm white, running between 2700 and 3500K, so the glow lands on the amber side rather than the clinical one. Expect it to light roughly three to five square metres, which makes it a pool of light for a landing, a reading nook or a run of stair wall rather than a whole room.

The fitting is hardwired at AC 85-265V, so a qualified electrician should install it with the circuit isolated, and the wall should be checked for pipes and cables before drilling starts. It carries CCC, CE and RoHS marking. The LED is integrated rather than a swappable bulb, and the light is intended for dry indoor locations only.
