Round Undermount Kitchen Sink 28-32cm

A round single-bowl sink in stainless steel, designed to be fitted from below so the worktop edge runs uninterrupted to the rim. Undermounting is what makes a stone or composite worktop look finished: there is no lip to catch crumbs and nothing sitting proud of the surface, so spills can be wiped straight into the bowl. The round form suits a prep bay, an island or a utility position where a full rectangular bowl would be wasted space.

Three sizes are offered, from 28cm square by 18cm deep up to 32cm by 19cm deep. Even the smallest takes a mixing bowl or a large colander, and the depth is generous enough that a running tap does not splash out. The drain sits in the centre with a 2in outlet, which is the standard British waste size, so it connects to existing pipework. A stainless basket strainer, the drain assembly and a shut-off valve are all supplied.

Stainless steel is the right material for a sink that will be used several times a day: it resists staining and rust, tolerates hot pans set down on the rim, and can be brought back with a cream cleaner if it dulls. There is an overflow hole, which is a detail cheaper bowls omit and which matters if a tap is ever left running. Fitting requires a cut-out in the worktop, so have this done by a fitter.
