Ryda Open Frame Bollard Light

The Ryda from Lockhone is a 50 cm garden bollard built as an open frame rather than a solid post. Four slim anthracite uprights carry a chamfered cap at the top and a stepped plinth at the base, and the gap between them lets the eye pass straight through, so the fitting marks a path edge without blocking the view along a border or a lawn. Die-cast aluminium gives the frame its weight and its clean powder-coated finish.

Light comes from an LED module recessed under the cap and washes down the inner faces of the frame, picking out the vertical lines before reaching the ground. That indirect route keeps the source out of sight at eye level, so the Ryda lights a path or a set of steps without glare into a window or a seating area. The integrated LED draws 11 W and produces 1100 lumens of warm white light at 3000 K, which is bright enough to define a walkway on its own or to run as a repeated line down a longer drive.

An IP65 rating means the frame is sealed against dust and against water jets from any direction, so the Ryda handles fully exposed positions in open garden ground, gravel beds and paved terraces. The unit bolts down through a base plate and the LED and driver are built in, so there is no bulb to buy or change. Delivery takes 8-15 working days.
