Satin Pillowcase Pair

Satin pillowcases became popular for a practical reason rather than a luxurious one: the smooth surface creates far less friction against hair overnight than woven cotton does, so hair moves with the pillow instead of dragging against it. These are microfibre satin, which holds the sheen better than cheaper polyester satins and does not develop the papery feel those get after a few washes. Two sizes are available, 51 x 76cm for a longer pillow and 51 x 66cm for a standard one, so you can match your existing pillows rather than fighting a case that is too tight or bags at the end. Both close with an envelope flap rather than a zip, which means nothing hard sits against your face and the case is quick to fit. Machine wash on a delicate cycle at up to thirty degrees, and avoid a hot tumble dry, which will dull the sheen over time.
