Self-Adhesive Soap Dish with Drip Tray
Self-Adhesive Soap Dish with Drip Tray
Item 2
Item 3
A soap dish only earns its place if the soap inside it actually dries, and this one is built around that single idea. A shallow inner tray holds the bar while a ribbed base lifts it clear of the water that drains away beneath, so the next person to reach for it finds a firm bar rather than a soft one. Moulded from polypropylene with clean, squared-off lines, it measures 12.1 by 12.3 by 5 centimetres overall.
The inner well is 11 by 8.5 by 3.5 centimetres, which takes a standard bar comfortably without swallowing it. Mounting is self-adhesive, so there is no drilling and no plugs to find: the backing grips tile and glass directly, which makes it a sensible choice for rented bathrooms or for a wall you would rather not put a hole in. Three colours are offered, white, mint green and dark green, and all three carry the same matt finish.
Fit it to a clean, dry, fully cured surface and press firmly for thirty seconds, then leave it for a day before putting any weight on it; adhesive that goes onto damp or dusty tile will let go later. Keep the load to soap alone rather than bottles or jars, and check the bond from time to time. Wash the dish in warm soapy water, and keep it back from a basin edge where a falling bar could be stepped on and slipped on.
