Silky Fitted Bed Sheet

A fitted sheet is the layer you actually sleep against, which is a good reason not to leave it as an afterthought. This one is woven from fine microfibre with a silky surface finish, so it feels cool and smooth going in rather than crisp and stiff. That smoothness has a practical side too: less friction against hair and skin over the course of a night, and less of the rumpling that pulls a percale sheet loose by morning.

The corners are fully elasticated so it grips the mattress and stays put rather than working free at the foot, and it fits standard mattress depths without straining. Four plain colours are offered, silver, dark grey, blue and white, all of them easy to pair with a patterned duvet cover, which is usually where the colour in a bed comes from anyway.

Three widths cover single through to small double, all two metres long. This is supplied as a fitted sheet alone rather than as part of a set, which makes it useful as a spare so a bed can be changed and remade the same morning. Wash at forty degrees, tumble dry on low and take it out while slightly warm; microfibre comes off the line almost ready to use with no ironing.
