Six-Tier Round Wooden Plant Stand

A six-tier corner stand that turns one square foot of floor into room for six pots. The frame is solid wood, cut into staggered round shelves that spiral upward so each plant gets light without shading the one below it. The striped painted finish keeps it looking deliberate rather than improvised, and the whole thing reads as furniture rather than a rack. It suits a bright hallway corner, a conservatory, the end of a kitchen run or a sheltered patio.

Trailing plants are what this stand was built for. Put the fuller pots low, let ivy or string-of-pearls spill from the upper shelves, and the stand disappears behind the greenery within a season. The shelves take standard nursery pots up to roughly fifteen centimetres across, and the open structure means you can water from above and let the drips fall through to a tray on the floor rather than lifting everything down each time.

Assembly is straightforward and the stand is stable once built, but it is a tall piece with a small footprint, so stand it against a wall rather than in a walkway and keep heavier pots on the lower tiers. Wood and permanent damp do not agree: use saucers under each pot, wipe up spills, and if you keep it outdoors, choose a covered spot and bring it in over winter.
