Slim Bar Pendant Light, One or Two Head

A narrow vertical bar, forty centimetres long and nine wide, hanging from an adjustable cord. There is no shade and no ornament; the light comes out of a slim acrylic strip down one face and the iron body does the rest. Over a kitchen island or a breakfast bar this shape works far better than a dome, because it puts light along the length of the worktop rather than in a circle in the middle of it.

One head or two are offered. A single bar draws sixteen watts and covers three to six square metres, which is right for a bedside or a narrow counter. The two-head version doubles that to thirty-six watts and up to twelve square metres, enough for a dining table or a full island run. The cord adjusts up to a hundred and fifty centimetres, so the drop can be set to suit the ceiling height.

Gold and black are both offered, and the difference is more than cosmetic: black recedes against a dark splashback while gold catches the eye and ties into brass taps and handles. The light is tricolour, switching between warm, neutral and cool tones. The LED is integrated with no lamp to change. Installation is hardwired to a ceiling point rated for the weight of the fitting, and the fitting is for dry indoor locations only.
