Slimline Iron Flush Ceiling Light

Flush mounts exist because not every ceiling can carry a pendant. At 8cm deep this one sits close enough to the plaster to clear a door swing, a low loft conversion or a landing where anything hanging would be walked into. The iron body is spun rather than pressed, which gives it a cleaner edge profile than the usual moulded plastic disc, and it comes in gold, white or black. The shallow profile also means it can go on a sloped or coombed ceiling without the shade tipping out of line.

Two diameters cover most jobs. The 20cm suits a hallway, a small bedroom, a utility room or a walk-in cupboard. The 30cm is the right size for a bathroom landing, a generous bedroom or a kitchen used alongside other lighting. Both are available in warm white for living spaces, a cleaner cool white for working rooms, or a three-colour version switched from the wall.

The LED is integrated and supplied, so there is no bulb to source and nothing to replace for years of ordinary use. It runs on 220-240V mains and is hardwired to an existing ceiling point. It is a dry-room fitting: fine on a landing or in a bedroom, not appropriate directly above a bath or a shower. Dust it with a dry cloth, power off.
