Solar Outdoor Table Lamp 15cm

A squat, cordless table lamp for outside, built to sit on a garden table or a low wall and light the space around it after dark. The housing is moulded from ABS with a polycarbonate diffuser, and a monocrystalline silicon solar panel is set into the top so the lamp charges itself through the day wherever it stands. It measures 15.3 centimetres square and 13.5 centimetres tall.

The LED runs at 4100 kelvin, a neutral white that reads as daylight rather than the yellow of a warm bulb, so it keeps colours honest across a table of food. There is no cable, no plug and no mains connection of any kind, so it can be moved to wherever people are sitting and carried indoors at the end of the evening. The body carries an IP65 rating against rain and hose spray.

IP65 covers rain and jets of water but not submersion, so do not stand the lamp in a pond, a paddling pool or standing water, and bring it inside before a hard frost. The rechargeable cell is sealed into the housing, so do not pierce, crush, dismantle or burn it. Stand it where it cannot be knocked off a table onto a hard surface, and keep it clear of a barbecue, a fire pit and any open flame.
