Solar Step Lights Set of Twelve

Twelve small lights change what you can do with a garden after dark. Rather than one bright source, this set lets you run a continuous line of low warm points along a step edge, a driveway, the lip of a deck or the front of a border, so the shape of the garden stays legible at night without anything reading as floodlit. Each unit is compact and sits low, which is exactly what edge lighting needs.

Every light is self-contained: a small panel in the top, a battery beneath it, and an LED that comes on at dusk and goes off when the charge is spent. The housings are rated IP65, so heavy rain and hose spray are not a problem, and the brown finish disappears into soil, bark and timber far better than a bright plastic would. Fix them with the supplied screws or push them into soft ground.

Space them evenly and resist the temptation to use all twelve in one short run, which flattens the effect. Give each panel a clear view of the sky, clear leaf litter off them in autumn, and check for cables before screwing into any structure. Runtime shortens through midwinter, as with all solar lighting.
