Sparkle Decorative LED String Lights

String lights live or die on the shape of the little covers over each bulb, and there are four here to choose from: a plain frosted ball, an open flower, a five-pointed star and a snowflake. All four throw the same warm white light between 2700K and 3000K, which is the tone that flatters a room rather than the blue-white that makes a wall look like a car park.

Three lengths are offered, from a 3m run with twenty lights up to a 10m run with eighty, so a single string can edge a mirror, wind through a bookshelf, follow a bedhead or cross a whole wall. Three modes are built in: a steady glow, a slow wave, and a flash. The steady setting is the one most people leave on.

Choose battery power for places nowhere near a socket, or USB where there is a charger or a laptop within reach. Total draw is around 5 watts, so leaving them on through an evening costs very little. Use a UK-approved USB mains adapter, which is not supplied. Keep the strings away from curtains, bedding and anything that could be knocked onto them, and switch them off when the room is empty.
