Textured Linen Blend Cushion Covers

Cushion covers in a nubby linen blend with a narrow braided trim worked around all four edges, offered in three sizes and eight colours. The weave has an irregular slub that catches the light unevenly, which is what stops a plain cover from reading as flat, and the braid gives the edge enough definition to hold its shape once a pad is in and the cushion has been plumped.

Three sizes cover most of what a sofa actually needs: a 45 by 45 centimetre square for general scatter use, a larger 50 by 50 for the corners of a deep seat, and a 30 by 50 rectangle that works as a lumbar cushion behind the back. The eight colours run from mint, olive and latte through chocolate and slate to gold, burnt orange and marine.

These are covers only and no pads are supplied, so check an existing insert against the size chart and allow a little ease so the corners fill properly. Wash cool and separately, reshape while damp and dry flat away from direct heat; linen blends soften with washing but will crease, which is part of the character. Keep the covers away from open fires, candles and radiators.
