Thedo Brass Fabric Wall Light

The Thedo pairs a warm brass fixture with a crisp white tapered fabric shade, a combination that sits comfortably in classic and contemporary rooms alike. The slender stem and round backplate keep the profile neat against the wall, while the shade softens the output into a gentle, even glow. It is a quiet fitting, closer to cottage warmth than to statement lighting.

The fixture is brass and the shade is fabric, tapered so the light falls slightly forward and down rather than straight out into the room. It takes a standard E26/E27 bulb, which is not included, so brightness and colour temperature are yours to choose, and LED, incandescent and fluorescent all work. It runs on 110V-240V and is rated for indoor use only.

It suits bedside walls, hallways and dining rooms, and works especially well fitted in pairs either side of a mirror or a headboard, where the symmetry does more than a single sconce would. It is at its best in smaller spaces of around 5 to 10 square metres, and the brass keeps its warmth against painted plaster and papered walls alike. The fitting is hardwired for a cable-free finish, so a qualified electrician should install it. Dust the shade gently and keep it dry.
