Toast Rechargeable Night Light

A slice of toast, 13.4cm wide and 9.8cm tall, with a handle cut through it so a small hand can carry it from room to room. It is moulded in ABS and lit by a 3W LED at a warm 3000K, and the whole face glows rather than the light coming from a point, which keeps it comfortable to look at in a dark bedroom.

Dimming is stepless: press and hold and the light slides from barely there up to a level you could read by, and stops wherever it is released. There is also a fifteen-minute timer for anyone who likes to fall asleep with a light on but not leave it burning all night. The 800mAh battery gives around six hours at full brightness and up to a hundred and twenty on the lowest setting.

Charging is over USB-C and takes about two and a half hours. Three colours are offered: green, red and yellow, all with the same soft warm output. It works as a bedside light, a landing light, a reading light in a bunk, or simply as something cheerful on a shelf. It is a lamp rather than a toy, so please supervise young children using it and keep it away from water.
