Uvella Alabaster and Brass Wall Light

Uvella pairs a solid brass wall plate with a slim alabaster cylinder hung on a fine cord. The proportions are deliberately narrow, so the fitting reads as a quiet vertical line on a wall rather than a bulky fixture. Lit, the stone spreads a soft amber glow and its veins show through as faint shadows. Unlit, it holds its shape as a pale marble form against the warm brass behind it.

The shade measures 10 cm across and 26 cm tall, and the fitting sits just 10 cm off the wall, so it clears a bedside table or a narrow hallway without catching a shoulder. Alabaster is a natural stone cut from a block, so every shade carries a different pattern of veining and translucency, and the markings on the piece delivered will differ from those shown in the photographs.

Mounting is hardwired and the light works with common wall switches, which suits a pair either side of a bed, a run along a hallway, or a single fitting beside a mirror. The IP20 rating limits it to dry indoor rooms, so a bathroom or a covered porch is not suitable. Have a qualified electrician make the connection, and clean the stone with a dry cloth rather than a damp one.
