Varro Travertine Wall Light

The Varro brings natural stone onto the wall. The body is formed from genuine travertine, with its characteristic porous surface and warm sandy tones left visible, and two frosted opal glass globes are set into the arched stone surround. The glass softens the output into an even glow, so the stone is lit from within its own shape rather than washed by a separate beam.

The fitting accepts standard G9 bi-pin bulbs and works with trailing-edge dimmer switches when a suitable dimmer is used; neither the dimmer nor the bulbs are included. Three sizes are available to suit different wall spaces: W10 x H18cm, W10 x H28cm and W10 x H48cm. It is hardwired for a permanent installation and is rated for damp environments.

That damp rating means it can go in a well-ventilated bathroom or a covered outdoor area as well as a bedroom, a hallway or a living room alcove, and the twin globes make it a workable pair of lights either side of a vanity mirror. Installation requires a connection to the existing mains wiring and is best completed by a qualified electrician. Travertine is porous, so wipe it dry rather than washing it, and keep cleaning products off the stone.
