Vintage Glass Wall Light 27cm

Iron and zinc alloy castings carry a shaped glass shade on this fitting, which borrows its proportions from nineteenth century European wall lighting without copying any particular pattern. At twenty-seven by twenty-five centimetres it is substantial enough to hold a hallway or a dining room wall on its own, and a pair either side of a chimney breast will look entirely at home in a period property.

Four finishes are offered. White gold is the warmest and the most decorative, catching light along the raised detail of the casting. Bronze is darker and reads as genuinely aged rather than antiqued. Black is the most graphic and sits surprisingly well in a modern room borrowing a traditional shape. White is the quietest, letting the outline show without drawing attention to the metalwork itself.

The fitting runs on two hundred and twenty volts and is hardwired, with no visible flex once it is installed. It is rated for indoor use in dry locations only and should not be fitted in a bathroom zone. Have the installation carried out by a qualified electrician with the circuit isolated at the consumer unit first. Clean the glass with a damp cloth and the metal with a dry one.
