Virtual Aquarium LED Mood Lamp

All the movement and blue light of a reef tank with none of the water. Behind an AS plastic front in an ABS frame, roughly 30 x 23cm and only 4cm deep, illuminated tropical fish drift back and forth across a lit background. It sits flat on a desk or shelf, or leans against a wall, and needs no pump, no filter, no water changes and no feeding.

The appeal is the same as a real tank: something quietly moving in the corner of the eye. A rotary dial adjusts the brightness, so it can be turned up as a proper light source in a home office or dropped to a low glow in a bedroom at night. The 16.4 foot lead gives plenty of slack to reach a socket across a desk.

It suits a study, a child's bedroom, a waiting area, a bedside table or a shelf in a room that needs a bit of life. Because there are no live animals involved it can be switched off and put away for weeks without consequence, which a real aquarium cannot. Runs at 8W from the mains: if the fitted plug is not a UK three-pin type, have a UK plug fitted or use a UK-approved adapter.
