Walnut and Gold LED Ceiling Light

A shallow round fitting, nine centimetres deep, in a walnut finish with a fine gold frame around the edge. It is the sort of light that looks intentional in a room with a plain ceiling and not much else going on overhead: the timber tone stops it reading as a builder's fitting, and the gold band picks up on door furniture, taps and picture frames elsewhere in the room.

Two diameters are offered. The 37cm version draws around twenty-five watts and lights a bedroom, study or hallway comfortably. The 47cm steps up to a little over thirty and suits a living room or a generous landing, covering roughly fifteen square metres. Both are flush mounted rather than hanging, so they work under ceilings where a pendant would be in the way, and both are offered in brown or white.

The colour tone is switchable between warm, neutral and cool white rather than fixed, which means the same fitting can be restful in the evening and workable during the day. The LED is integrated, so there is no lamp to replace. Installation is a hardwired job for a qualified electrician, and the fitting is rated for dry indoor locations only rather than bathrooms or covered outdoor areas.
