Turned from walnut, this compact surface-mounted spotlight turns a service fitting into a considered detail, warming a ceiling in a way white plastic or aluminium never can. A line of three or four along a hallway looks deliberate, and because it needs no ceiling void it suits concrete or joisted ceilings too.
