Walnut Ceiling Spotlight 10cm

A small surface-mounted ceiling spotlight with a body turned from walnut. Nearly every spotlight on the market is white plastic or brushed aluminium, so a wooden one changes the character of a ceiling entirely: it reads as a considered detail rather than a service fitting. At 10cm across and projecting 4 to 6cm, it is genuinely compact, and a line of three or four along a hallway ceiling looks deliberate.

Four finishes are offered. Natural walnut and dark walnut are the plain wood options, the natural warmer and lighter, the dark closer to a stained oak. Each is also available with a gold collar, which picks up brass door furniture or a brass pendant elsewhere in the room. Warm light and cool white are both available; warm is the better match for the wood, which a cool beam tends to grey out.

Coverage is roughly one to three square metres per fitting, so plan on one per zone rather than expecting a single spot to light a room. The input range is 90 to 260V, so it runs on UK mains without an adapter. Because it is surface mounted it needs no recessed void above, which makes it usable on a concrete or joisted ceiling where a downlight cannot go. It is hardwired and takes no separate lamp.
