Wood and Metal Wall Light 25cm

Metal and wood in the same fitting is a combination that only works when the proportions are right, and here the timber block is heavy enough to balance the metal arm rather than looking like a decorative afterthought. The light measures twenty-five by fifteen by ten centimetres, so it projects modestly from the wall and will not catch a shoulder in a narrow hallway or beside a bed.

Gold and black are both available. Gold warms the timber and picks up the tone of oak or walnut furniture elsewhere in the room, while black sets a harder edge against the wood and suits a scheme with dark window frames or ironmongery. The wood element is the same on both, so the finish choice only affects the metal arm and the visible fixings.

The integrated LED draws six watts and produces a warm white light, running on two hundred and twenty volts. Because the LED is built in there is no bulb to source or replace, and the fitting stays slim as a result. It is hardwired and rated for indoor, dry locations. Have it installed by a qualified electrician with the circuit isolated at the consumer unit before any work is carried out.
