The Xato up-down outdoor wall light is a compact rectangular block that sends a narrow beam straight up the wall and another straight down. The effect is two clean triangles of light, a look that suits modern brickwork, render and timber cladding without adding visual clutter. In daylight the fitting almost disappears: at just 7 cm wide it reads as a small dark line on the wall rather than a lantern hung on it.
Die-cast aluminium in a dark grey anthracite finish keeps the body slim and solid, and the IP65 rating seals it against dust and water jets for permanent use outdoors. Two GU10 lamp holders take standard spotlight bulbs, so beam angle, brightness and light colour can all be changed later without replacing the fitting itself. Xato measures 16.5 cm high, 7 cm wide and 7.95 cm deep, and weighs 0.65 kg.
It works in pairs beside a front door, in runs along a boundary wall, or on its own above a side gate or a garage door.
