Yoro Fluted Glass Outdoor Wall Light

The Yoro is a half-round outdoor wall light in black metal, fronted with a fluted glass diffuser. The ribbing splits the output into fine vertical lines, so the fitting reads as a soft column of light rather than one bright point. The top and bottom are left open, which sends a wash up and down the wall behind it and gives a flat surface some depth after dark.

An IP65 rating means the body is sealed against dust and against water jets from any direction, so the Yoro can sit on an exposed wall with no canopy above it. The LED module is built in and supplied in a warm tone, so there is no bulb to buy and nothing to swap out later. It runs on a hardwired 110V to 240V supply, which covers both UK and US installations.

At 30 cm the Yoro suits a doorway, a garage flank, a stairwell wall or a repeated run along a fence line, and it works particularly well in a pair either side of an entrance. Because it is hardwired, the cable route is worth planning before the wall is made good. The glass wipes clean with a damp cloth, and the sealed body means the fitting can be left in place through winter.
