Zaya is a lantern wall light in matt black aluminium with a clear glass shade. The open lantern shape is a familiar one, and the plain modern finish keeps it from looking period, so it sits comfortably on an old brick porch or a new render facade. Lit, it throws a warm glow across brickwork and an entrance. Unlit, the black frame reads as a neat piece of hardware beside a door.
The frame is powder coated aluminium, chosen to resist rust and fading through rain, frost and coastal air. Clear glass keeps the output high rather than diffusing it, so the fitting works as a genuine entrance light and not only as a marker at the door. It measures 26.5 cm tall, 18.5 cm wide and 23.5 cm deep, and takes a standard E27 bulb, which is not supplied with it.
It suits a front door, a back door, a porch, a garage wall or a garden wall, and pairs well either side of an entrance where a single fitting would leave one side dark. A warm white LED bulb keeps the running cost low and matches the tone of an entrance. Installation is hardwired and outdoor rated, so a qualified electrician should fit it and seal the back plate to the wall.
