Zion Jacquard Stretch Sofa Cover

Zion is the plain-colour counterpart to a patterned cover: a stretch jacquard knit with a fine self-coloured texture woven in, so it has surface interest without a design to match to anything. Eight colours are offered — dark grey, grey, brown, pink, blue, black, wine and white — chosen to cover the range from disappearing into a neutral room to being the one strong colour in it.

The knit stretches four ways and recovers, which is what lets a single cover fit sofas of different depths and arm shapes. The hem is fully elasticated, and foam anchor rods are supplied to push into the crevice between the seat and the back; this is the step that stops a stretch cover creeping up the arms after a fortnight. The fabric is dense enough to hide worn upholstery underneath rather than mapping it.

Four sizes are given as the width across the outside of both arms: 90-140 cm, 140-180 cm, 185-230 cm and 235-300 cm. Measure that dimension and choose accordingly. Machine wash cool on a gentle cycle and line dry; do not tumble dry, bleach or iron, all of which damage the elastic. White and pink show marks faster than the darker tones, so consider where the sofa sits and how much sun it gets before choosing at the lighter end of the range.
