Zyno Matt Black Linear Pendant Light

The Zyno is a single straight bar of matt black metal suspended on two fine cables. There is no shade, no cluster and no visible bulb, which is the whole idea. Over a table it draws one clean horizontal line and leaves the rest of the room alone.

An acrylic strip runs the full length of the underside and diffuses the LED into an even band of warm light, so a table is lit end to end rather than in a single bright pool. Matt black holds its own against oak, marble and pale plaster without introducing another material to the room. The LED is built in and included and runs at a fixed warm colour temperature.

This is the 60 cm length, which suits a two to four seat table, the end of a kitchen island, a desk or a hallway console. Hang it low enough to light the table properly but high enough to clear the sightline across it, and align it with the long axis of the table. The fitting is hardwired and rated IP20 for indoor use, and assembly is required, so installation is best carried out by a qualified electrician. Dust the acrylic strip occasionally to keep the band even.
