Girl Portrait Resin Vase 27cm

A vase and a small sculpture in one piece. The form is a stylised portrait head, moulded in solid resin and finished with a soft matte surface, with the opening set into the crown so that stems rise straight out of the top. Seen from across a room it reads as an ornament; up close the detail of the face and the gentle asymmetry of the modelling do most of the work.

It stands 27cm high on a 17cm square footprint, which is large enough to anchor a console table or a wide shelf without crowding whatever sits beside it. The proportions suit dried grasses, preserved stems and a small handful of fresh flowers rather than a full bouquet. Four finishes are offered - white, grey, black and beige - so the piece can either disappear into a pale wall or sit against it as a deliberate silhouette.

Resin is solid and forgiving, but it is not glass: use a slim glass or plastic liner if you want to stand fresh flowers in water, and wipe the outside with a barely damp cloth rather than washing it. Keep it out of prolonged direct sunlight, which can dull a matte resin finish over time. This is a decorative object and is not intended as a drinking vessel or food container.
