Linear Glass Island Pendant 100cm

A full metre long and thirty centimetres deep, this is a proper island pendant rather than a scaled-up shade. Glass sections are held in a metal frame along the length of the bar, so light passes through rather than being contained, and the fitting throws a long even band down onto a worktop or a dining table. It is the right answer for a long, narrow surface that a single shade cannot cover.

Black and white are both available. Black reads as industrial and holds its line clearly against a pale ceiling, which suits an open-plan kitchen with dark cabinetry or metalwork. White is quieter and tends to disappear upward into the ceiling, leaving only the glass and the light visible. The glass sections are the same on both, so only the frame colour changes between the two options.

The fitting accepts Edison-style filament, LED or conventional bulbs, so the look can be tuned from decorative to plain depending on what is fitted. It runs on one hundred and ten to two hundred and forty volts. Because of the length and weight, fit only to a ceiling point rated for the load, and have the installation carried out by a qualified electrician with the circuit isolated first.
