One continuous arc of metal turned back on itself, with the light source running inside the acrylic face. There is no shade, no visible lamp and no base to speak of beyond the foot of the curve, which is the whole idea: the lamp is a single line rather than an object made of parts. Two heights are offered, 22 centimetres and 32 centimetres.
The acrylic spreads the light evenly along the inside of the U, so the glow is soft-edged rather than a point of glare. That makes the smaller size useful next to a monitor, where a hard light source would reflect, and the larger one useful on a sideboard or a shelf where the shape itself is doing some of the work. Both sit flat and take very little depth.
The lamp is mains powered, running on 110 to 240 volts, so it stays on as long as you want it on rather than needing charging. Place the cable where it will not be pulled. Clean the acrylic face with a soft dry cloth only, since solvents and abrasive cleaners will cloud the surface permanently, and wipe the metal frame down with a barely damp cloth and nothing stronger.
