Wenna Scalloped Ceramic Pendant Light

The Wenna takes the shape of an old country kitchen lamp and gives it a cleaner, quieter finish. The glazed ceramic shade is cream, with a fine brown line running around the rim and small painted bow motifs set just inside the scalloped edge where the light catches them. The shade is wide and shallow, so the fitting reads as a piece of pottery rather than a piece of hardware.

That shallow shape throws light downward onto a table or a worktop instead of scattering it across the ceiling, which gives a defined pool of warm light to cook by, read a recipe by or eat a slow evening meal under. Glazed ceramic holds its colour, wipes clean with a damp cloth and does not discolour near heat the way a painted metal shade can. A twisted brown fabric flex carries the shade.

The 150 cm cord can be shortened during installation to set the drop, whether that is over an island, a dining table or a bedside. One Wenna suits a small round table on its own, while two or three hung in a row work along a longer island or run of worktop. Allow for a qualified electrician to make the ceiling connection, and check the drop leaves clear headroom above a walkway.
